Company history of the BAUER Solargruppe

BAUER Gebäude- u. Steuerungstechnik GmbH was founded in 1985 and laid the foundation for the rapid development of the BAUER Gruppe. Renewable energy forms and photovoltaic technology were not a major subject of public discussion when founder Friedhelm Bauer was looking for opportunities in which to expand the field of business of the company.

With the foundation of BAUER Solartechnik GmbH in 2003, the initial orientation of the group of companies towards photovoltaic and solar energy technology was consolidated. With Ingo Schniering as the second managing director, the company developed into the leading photovoltaic company in Rheinhessen. To date, well in excess of 3000 photovoltaic plants have been planned and installed in the region.

In order to sell the extremely successful solar modules produced in our own factories, BAUER Solarenergie GmbH was founded in 2004. From the very start, we embarked upon and encouraged international partnerships in order to provide the largest possible group of customers with access to our gained knowledge advancements and the achieved product quality.

And in 2009, we took the next logical step with the foundation of BAUER Solarprojekt GmbH: After the implementation of the first larger projects both at home and abroad, all of the project implementation efforts were consolidated under BAUER Solarprojekt GmbH. The efficiency and success of this sector was further promoted by the appointment of Gerald Angerer to the role of managing director.

Today, this group of companies is united under the BAUER Solargruppe seal of quality and covers all the necessary competences required by the photovoltaic industry. We are active cross the entire globe and, from our headquarters in Selzen/Mainz, we implement projects of every dimension. From the end customer to the wholesaler and through to the foundation and participation in large international projects, we offer comprehensive knowledge and expertise, convincing quality and first class service to the solar energy sector.
